. SEE A LIST OF HER CREDITS HERE. FunkyLB recently released the 4 songs that make up PART I of a self-penned and self-recorded digital ep of soul and downtempo music called WATER. BREATH. FIRE. FLESH. This ep project, when done, will consist of 16 songs released in 4 parts. FunkyLB is the sole songwriter, vocalist, instrumentalist, producer and engineer on the project. In summer 2015 FunkyLB composed, sequenced, recorded and mixed the first installment of her Soulful Meditation Series, a passion project that marries her burgeoning buddhist practice with her love for ambient sounds and new technologies. Currently, FunkyLB is working on her 3rd ep project of singer-songwriter material called DREAM CATCHER, and is culling tracks for a compilation of theme songs she has written for webseries, plays and short films.  You can access and enjoy a sampler of a subsection of the compositions she has available for licensing HERE.

FunkyLB formerly played keys & key bass for Rudy True's Corporate Events Band and for the pop-tejano ensemble The Angel Martinez Project. She previously played bass and sang background vocals for singer-songwriters Danie Ocean, Ashley Phillips and Rosemary Fiki, but now devotes her time to composing scores, recording solo downtempo songs and acting as musical director and band member for her own ensembles:  HoneyBrowne Collective (an all women singer-songwriters workshop/performance pod), Bass-ically Lolita (her one chick band where she uses loop pedals and vocal processing pedals to facilitate playing all instruments and singing all vocals herself LIVE), and Harry (her rock-soul trio of drums, bass & guitar).  FunkyLB’s motto for negotiating life and music is a simple one: “Keep The Divine First, then Take It Light, but Keep it Funky.”
